Happy Friday!
After reading through The Mating Call, I dove into these three books. Starting off is Serviced by Kylie King. If you're looking a quick hot read, this is the read for you. I didn't care of the inconsistencies though. Blurb: Saint Fredericks is known well by women for one thing: His big, thick…well, you know what. His clients know that when they get a night with him, they are about to be the luckiest women on earth. But when Saint meets a client who rocks his world and gives him the ride of his life, he feels no other woman can compare to her and that changes everything he’s thought about his future. Lauren Montgomery has never forgotten the day she met Saint. He’s everything she’s ever wanted in a man, but she realizes he comes with a catch. Still, she’s wanted to be alone in a room with him for months, and when Saint confirms a “service” appointment with her at a luxury hotel, she is ready to own the night with him. After a monumental night that neither of them can forget, Saint makes it his mission to find Lauren. And when he does get a hold of her, they both agree to meet again, only this time, Saint has one goal: to please Lauren in every way and to make her all his, no matter how much it breaks his rules. Soon, they’ll both come to realize that they could have more, but with his line of work and her rising reputation around the city, will they be able to make a relationship work? Goodreads Amazon Next is Baby for the Soldier Cougar by Meg Ripley. It isn't the first of the series so I was a little lost with the familiarity of the characters but otherwise was able to dive into the story. Blurb: Cougars don’t mate for life -- you can hang your hat on that -- or so I thought ... When I’m not heading out on missions with Dallas’s Special Ops Shifter Force, my life is a fairly simple one. Tending to my ranch is just what the doctor ordered after serving as a Green Beret. I’ve always been lucky with the ladies, but as a cougar, I’ve got no qualms about returning to the solitude of my ranch alone after a night out on the town. When Delilah saddles up to me at the rodeo to ask for the Force’s help, my cougar instantly has his eyes on the prize. And after a hot tumble in the hay together, I figure that’s all she wrote. Until I find out she’s got one in the chute. That’s right, Vance Morris is gonna be a daddy. Sweet baby Rose is the most precious little cub I’ve ever seen. And the more time I spend with her and Delilah, the more my human side wants us to be together --no matter what my damn fool of a cougar thinks. So when my family comes under threat during a covert mission, I’ll do whatever it takes to protect them. Come hell or high water. Goodreads Amazon Lastly, there's A Really Bad Idea by Jeannine Colette. I truly enjoyed this story. Friends to more was a lot of fun. Blurb: Everyone has a best friend. Mine just happens to be Dr. Christian Gallagher— the gorgeous, green-eyed heart surgeon who wants to have a baby with me. Yes, you read that correctly. When my mother approached me on my thirty-third birthday with a brochure for egg freezing, it was a glaring reminder that my biological clock is ticking toward its expiration date. I’ve always dreamed of being a mom and had a plan — one that was destroyed when I caught my professional hockey player husband in bed with another woman. Despite my broken heart I still believe in love. I want the happily ever after, but I also want a child desperately and won't settle in order to make it happen. That’s why when I decided to take my mother’s advice, Christian came up with his own plan: Let’s have a baby together. It’s a bad idea. A really, really bad idea. And yet...I can’t stop thinking about how great it could be. There’s just one condition. Before we have sex (oh, yes, we’re doing this the old fashioned way!) Christian is adamant we go on three dates. Sounds easy, but it's not. I thought sex would be the hard part, but the dates are only making me fall for the man I’ve known almost my entire life. Whoever said sex doesn't change things never went to bed with their best friend. Goodreads Amazon Barnes and Noble That's a wrap for me this week. We are off to football tomorrow. Have a great, happy, and safe weekend. x Brooke
