If you know me well, you know that I absolutely love anything This Man and everything Jodi Ellen Malpas writes! I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard she wrote another This Man book, but I knew I had to have it.
I was sucked in from page one, falling back into the world of Jesse and Ava. This book, like all the other This Man books, is mind-blowing! I first read This Man years ago when it first came out and I was captivated by Jesse and Ava's love. The series is my go-to and easily my favorite that when I heard a fourth book was coming out, I pre-ordered it straightaway! Especially since it came out the day before my birthday. I love seeing the world and their love through Jesse's eyes and could not put the book down. My heart fluttered, I cried good and ugly tears, and I swooned once more for the Lord of the Manor and his lady. Jesse Ward is back in the newest novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling This Man series! Life is good for Jesse "The Lord" Ward. Perfect, actually. He still has the charm, he's in great shape, and he still reduces his wife, Ava, to a pool of desire with a mere look. He's in full control, just how he likes it. But Jesse's perfect world falls apart when a terrible accident lands Ava in the hospital with a life-threatening head injury. Devastated and angry, he feels like his entire existence hangs in the balance. He cannot survive without this woman's love. So when she finally comes around, his shaking world begins to level out. But his nightmare doesn't end there. It's only just begun. Because his wife can't remember the last sixteen years of her life. That's all of him. All of their time together. He is a stranger to her. Now Jesse must do whatever it takes to find her memories . . . and help her fall madly, passionately in love with him all over again. I love T.M. Frazier! The first book of hers I read was King and then the rest in the series including all of Preppy's books. I didn't realize at the time when I first read King she had books before that book. This week I started reading The Dark Light of Day and I am falling in love all over again! It's dark and twisted, but the passion and connection between her characters are incredible!
Homeless, sleeping in a junkyard, and on the run from a system that has failed her over and over again, Abby meets Jake, a tattooed blue-eyed biker with secrets that rival her own. Two broken souls that can't be healed, they can't be saved. Abby and Jake have to decide if they can accept the darkness not only within one another, but within themselves. If they can accept each other for who they really are they might learn that love isn't always found in the light... WARNING: This is NOT your typical romance. The story of Jake & Abby contains disturbing situations, graphic violence, sex, strong language, drug use, and all types of abuse. All. I don't recognize myself in the mirror anymore. My thoughts are filled with hatred and dripping with rage. I've lost my soul. She took it to the depths of Hell with her and haunts me with images of what could have been. Sixty lives are mine to take. Sixty lives stand in the way of my vengeance. Sixty lives plus one more. Mine. When the last drop of blood falls -- mine will be spilled. Only one person stands in the way. She doesn't realize I'll kill her too. I don't own a heart. And even if I did -- I wouldn't fall prey to its lies again. I am Chase Abandonato. Heir to a legacy of betrayal. And I will kill them all. Even if it means pointing the gun at myself. A life for a life. A soul for a soul. Now I lay me down to sleep... I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Blood in. No out. Eulogy is a stand alone mafia romance with dark themes, alpha males, violence, and enough humor woven in to make it so you don't want to hunt the author down when you finish. It is linked to the Eagle Elite series, any book can be read out of order, but will contain spoilers if you choose to take that path. Enjoy, blood in no out! I have been a fan of Rachel's since I first picked up The Bet long before I started writing my own book. I have devoured everything by her and when I first read Eagle Elite, I fell head over heels for Chase. I bled for this book and refused to put it down. One thing that I always have loved about Rachel's books, especially the Eagle Elite series, is I am never able to guess or figure out what will happen next. Mind blown with this one and that is all I will say. If you haven't read this series, I seriously recommend it! |
