I ended last week wrapping up a story that will be part of a new series I'll be releasing next year and gearing up for my February/March project which is a thriller!
This won't be a romantic thriller, just a plain thriller I've had floating around in my mind for a while now and the time has come for me to see if I have what it takes. This book won't be coming for a couple of years. Fingers crossed I can "thrill" you in the future! Have a happy week. x Brooke

I know, I usually do this on the last Friday of the month, but I got carried away finishing up a book, so I’m a day late.

I really struggled with which story was going to come next; Brandon's or Miles'. Both of them take place around the same time as Call of the Alpha, but Brandon won out in the end which will make sense once Fight of his Life comes out next. I absolutely love this cover! The purple is likely my favorite color on this layout for the series. I don't have a preorder available since last year it was taken away from me when it wasn't even my fault, but I'm hoping to have the paperback up before the ecopy release. I'm entering the home stretch with my current WIP and will have it done by Sunday. Then, it'll be onto the next book I'm both super excited AND nervous about. Why? *Whispers* Because it's a thriller, no romance in sight! Yeah, you heard me. It was an idea that came to me while reading a romantic thriller series and I can't wait to see if I can do this. Friday will be January's What Brooke Read. Until then, have a wonderful week! x Brooke With the return of slightly warmer weather, I've been able to go for my daily morning walks once more and has helped to clear my head in order to write the book I'm currently on. I'm not sure why this series has been so challenging, but each day, I go in with a clearer head thanks to the crisp fresh air I've been getting.
Look at that sunrise, inspirational, right? I'm hoping to make a good headway in this book by the weekend, or even Friday and even though it's going to be awhile until this book comes out, I'm happy to be getting done with it. I don't have much more to share with you this week. Have a great one. x Brooke My kids needed something to do this weekend so I came up with a Minecraft build challenge. We are to build homes in creative and be functional for survival. I'm done with the exterior of mine and just have the interior left to complete. I gave us a week to get them done but I don't think I'm going to need much more time.
In writing news, I hit a writer's block with my current WIP mainly because I had way too many ideas and no set direction. So, I'm starting over this time with an outline. Hopefully, this will help. I don't know what it is about this series I'm working on but it's been a struggle and I'm only on the second book! It Just Comes Natural is getting closer and closer to coming out. I'm excited to release another Powder River Pack book. I had to figure out who I wanted to go next and landed on Brandon. After him, it'll be Miles! That's all I have for you this week. Have a wonderful one! x Brooke A cold weekend ended with us sledding the afternoon away. And today starts with a brisk walk and now I'm watching the season finale of Yellowstone and getting more words down with my latest WIP.
I hope you rang in the new year in a wonderful way. I was out by 10 after reading a little of the latest Outlander book while my kids had a sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa. I don't have much more to share with you this week. Have a wonderful one. x Brooke |
