I love lip balms. I carry one in my pocket, one in my purse, and one in my car at all times. So, I decided to try making my own for book swag. Let me tell you, it is a journey. In this blog post, I will be showing you how I did it and that way you can make some of your own if you are interested. Feel free to share with all your DIY friends and family. First, here are the supplies you need. I used white beeswax pellets, shea buter, coconut oil, Vitamin E oil, round containers (I use these ones but you can use the tubes as well,) a spoon to stir, paper towels, and whatever scented essential oils I liked. I also have Almond Oil pictured because you can use it in place of Vitamin E oil if you like. I bought all of these on Amazon because I live in a small town and it is hard to find all this locally. You will want to use a double boiler or if you don't have one, a small sauce pan and a glass bowl. Pour water into the bottom and bring it to a boil. I don't have a double boiler, so my instructions will be with the sauce pan and glass bowl. Once the water is boiling, I added TWO Tbsp of beeswax, TWO Tbsp of Shea Butter, TWO Tbsp of Coconut Oil, and ONE Tsp of Vitamin E Oil. Melt them and then add half a teaspoon of the scent you desire. After you have everything melted and well mixed, move quickly to pour into the containers. I burn myself easily so I wear oven mitts. I also make a massive mess. If you are like me, put paper towels down to catch whatever you miss with. As you can see, I don't have the best pouring skills. Allow them to cool completely before putting the lids on. While putting the lids on securely, use a dry paper towel to wipe the sides clean. You have a finished product. With the recipe above I can fill almost eight containers. You can add more if you would like but for me, it was easier to do a little at a time. I will be printing off stickers to put my book covers and author logo on them once I get sticker paper.
I hope this is easy to follow for you. And thank you for reading.

This week's weekend read is a little different from all the others I have done so far.
Erotic Thriller isn't a genre I dive into often, but when I found Crash for free, I quickly grew addicted and bought books two and three. I finished this series in a day and a half! Crash: This is not a traditional romance, but a dark love story with a twist that will leave you wanting more. The greatest love stories begin with blood… There is blood. There is pain. And there is him. These are the first things I register when I wake up, the lone survivor in an Alaskan plane crash. He carries me to safety over rough terrain and brings me to his cabin in the woods. He has no name. Or none he will tell me. As snow creeps across the harsh and isolated landscape, he is my only company. My protector, my caretaker. A fascinating enigma, with mysterious eyes, gentle hands, and a rough voice that demands more from me than I ever expected to give. I make up different stories, different names for him depending on his mood, because I know nothing about him except that he is my only connection to the real world I want to return to. So I work to please him, plotting my escape, yet all the while I start to crave him and every touch of his dominating body. He has saved me from the cold. From death. But in taking me and my body, will he destroy me? Amazon US: https://www.amazon.com/Crash-Drew-Jordan-ebook/dp/B017GE76EU/ Hide: Laney and The Stranger's unusual love story continues in this erotic thriller... A plane crash brought me to the cabin in the woods with the stranger, but love and sex keeps me here, as his willing captive. Nothing can take me from his arms, not even a man from my past. But the police have questions for me. For us. All I’ve ever wanted is to stay with the stranger, the man I crave and need, but my secrets are starting to unravel. Escape is what the stranger demands and I’ll do anything for him, including leaving the cabin and creating a new identity. I’ll do whatever he tells me to do- with my body, my heart, my soul. The last time I loved, I lost. I won’t let that happen again. HIDE is the follow up to the bestselling erotic thriller, CRASH, with the series conclusion, EXPOSE: The Stranger’s Story, releasing in late 2016. For mature readers only. All you need is love and a strong alibi… Amazon US: https://www.amazon.com/Hide-Crash-Book-Drew-Jordan-ebook/dp/B01CZA6FGK/ Expose: The thrilling conclusion to the CRASH trilogy is told from The Stranger’s point of view... The first time I saw Laney I thought she was dead in the wreckage of that plane crash. She was still and pale, her hair tumbled around her face as she slumped slightly to the side. Like a perfect porcelain doll on a little chair, and I thought it was a waste of such a beautiful face. But then her eyes popped open and they were filled with pain and fear. I knew that look. It was the look of every animal that has been hunted and hasn’t died yet. She was the fox with her leg in the trap, and I freed her from the seat crushing her foot, picked her up and took her home. I am the hunter. She is the prey. No one can trap her but me, her captor, but danger is coming. I need to plan very carefully how to save Laney’s sexy little ass and keep her all to myself. She thinks she is love with me, and maybe she is. I hope she is. Because I love her too, even if I have a strange way of showing it… All his secrets are exposed as he and Laney’s erotic relationship reaches its climax in the Alaskan tundra. For mature readers only. EXPOSE follows CRASH and HIDE- the series should be read in order for maximum enjoyment. For mature readers only.
