Broke down truck, crazy boys running around, and the two year old getting a soccer ball to the side of his face sums up the last week of summer pretty well. Makes me want a strong drink.
For those who don't know, I can't drink. Sad but true. I was very ill a couple of years ago and now I can't have alcohol or red meats. Anyways! School starts on Tuesday?? For what reason to start a day later in the week I will never understand, but I'm ready for the break. Pup #1 starts third grade this year and I continue to work with Pup #2 to get him ready for preschool next year. I managed to write nearly 7,000 words this week. I know, I have no clue how I did it! But it feels great! I'm so excited for this series to come later NEXT year. Beta Babe already claims the guy, but I'm sure y'all will love him as well. I also edited my piece for the SASS Anthology I am proud to be a part of. The story is something different from what I've published so far. It comes out the week before The Predator Part One. Today, I took it easy by making some teasers. (One I will share today, but the rest are being hidden for a while.) That's it for now. I hope everyone has a wonderful and warm weekend! -Brooke

I forgot to post this past Friday!
There was nothing really up this past week. The pups played. Pup #1 went to the mountains with mountain man, aka grandpa, and started football practice. Pup #2 had been a little difficult. 2 year olds are hard work. I was busy writing my newest series, book 2 of it, and wrote my newsletter piece today. Last weekend we took a day trip up to Cross Creeks, it is hard to get there any other time of the summer, but in August the banks are low making access easier. The Warden and I celebrated out fifth wedding anniversary yesterday. We did yard work, had dinner with my parents, and shot bows with Pup #1. Happy Friday everyone!
