Last week, I jumped the gun about have What Brooke Read coming out last Friday. Still have this week! Lol So, I apologize if you were waiting for it.
This weekend, we escaped and spent time with family and did a little shopping. I'm glad the weather worked out in our favor because now it's raining. My kids are looking at the wolves from ZooMontana. This week kicks off re-write season for me. I have five books to get through and some of them are longer than the others. I usually do them during the summer since they don't take me as long, allowing me to spend time with my kids more, but I needed to get a jump start this year.
2022 releases will be getting teasers for the next several months! So be on the look out.

What a way to kick start the second to last week of April. It was beautiful and warm last yesterday and now we were dumped on by a bunch of wet snow. That's okay. I keep saying, "We need the moisture" which we do.
It kept me home from my usual morning walk to shovel instead. At least it's a good workout too considering how heavy some of it is.
Now, I'm gearing up for a week of writing like usual. I plan on finishing my current WIP by Friday. This book will be the last one to come out next year and everyone, I flove this book! It's taken seven months to fully figure out and finally I see the light at the end of this brooding police officer and corky librarian. I kind of have a title worked out but I'm not sure so I won't be sharing it yet.
Next week will kick start my rewrites. Usually, I spend the three months of summer doing those since they don't take me nearly as long to do as rough drafts and allowing me to spend more time with my kids and doing fun things, but I have five books to do this summer and need to get going a month early.
This past weekend I had my first craft show since November 2019! It was great to be out again and connecting with local readers. I can't wait to do another, which might be in a couple of weeks and then there's the Wild Deadwood Reads signing coming up on June 19th. I can't wait to be there again.

One nice day this weekend was filled with a long walk and outdoor chores. It was wonderful being outdoors!
Sunday, on the other hand, kept us inside after a chilly shorter walk, before the oldest went to his first archery practice and I wrote with the little one. 
Today, I started playing around with iron-on vinyl designs for t-shirts and LOVE what I made today. There's a picture of it up on my Instagram. I don't have much to share or update y'all on right now. This coming Saturday, I'll be at a Mother's Day Craft show in Ranchester, WY from 9 to 1. If you're local, I'd love to see you!

Easter ended with us doing yardwork after we got back into town from the egg hunt my parents have for the boys every year and lunch. We don't go overboard with the holiday, just spend time together which is what matters most to us.
We still have plenty of candy to last the kids a long time. 
For those who are in my readers group on Facebook but might not have seen what I posted on Friday, I've decided to take a step back from the group for a while. I need some time. I've left the decision to either archive it or allow you readers take control of it. The decision will need to be made by this coming Friday.
In other news, I'm busying myself away on my current WIP. I should have it done by the end of the month and then it's time to dive into second drafts for my 2022 releases!
