I know the week just started, but I'm ready for Friday. This summer didn't go the way I wanted to at all with barely getting any time on the mountains and this coming weekend will hopefully help that wanderlust I have for being up there, playing and exploring with my kids even if it's only a little.
This week marks not only my kids getting back to school, but the writing season. Second drafts for next year are complete and now it's time for rough drafts! This coming month, I'm going to be gearing up for not one but two releases! I can't tell you much about one because it's under lock and key until Thursday, but a week after that one releases, My Bronc Riding Cowgirl comes out! I know, I'm insane. You can pre-order that one from the link below. Anyways, I better get my butt in gear. Have a wonderful week. x Brooke

You guessed it, it's that time of the month again! With only a few days left in August, it's time to share what I've read. First off, can you believe the summer is already at an end? It doesn't feel like I got even half of what I wanted to do with my kids this year. It doesn't look like I read a lot this month, but I did. Considering the Age of Vampires books are in a boxset and I'm only in the fourth book, I've really read more.
Let's get going! First off is Say it's Forever by A.L. Jackson. Goodreads Amazon Marked Omega by Lizzy Bequin. Goodreads Amazon Lost in Me by Lexi Ryan Goodreads Amazon Barnes and Noble Thief by S. Massery Goodreads Amazon The Dragonfly Inn by Tracie Douglas Goodreads Amazon Untamed Vixen by Luna Pierce Goodreads Amazon The Immortal Tailor by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff (Coming Next week!) Goodreads Amazon Barnes and Noble Age of Vampire by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti Goodreads Amazon That's all I have for you! As always, I hope you find something to pull you in. Have a great weekend! x Brooke It's still too hot around here for me to do any form of baking for my liking, so I shredded two of my four giant zucchini and packaged them up to freeze until it's time to bake.
On top of all that, I'm also getting another outline done this week. I'm pretty excited about this book. It's been a long time since I wrote a fighter book ... and that's the only clue you're going to get for this future book. This week, we're starting the process of taking our pool down in prep for school starting here real soon. Don't worry, I don't share pictures of first day of school. I have one tradition I do with pictures much to my oldest's dismay, but I only share those with family. That's all I have for you this week. I'll be back at the end of the week with August's What Brooke Read! Have a wonderful week! x Brooke This last weekend was spent shopping with my husband for hunting season, visiting with fellow authors, getting to know readers, and having a lot of fun ... except Sunday, that was a mess with all day spent fixing the plumbing in our bathroom.
As you can see from the picture T.M. Wikto took for me I had a lot going on at my table. The decals you can see on the left I will be posting on my shop for sale as soon as I finish this post. I hope there will be an event next year as well because Billings is close to my home as well as a place where I have some family members residing. Now, I'm back to work outlining the books I plan on writing once school starts. I have plans to get as many outlines plotted out as possible within the two weeks I have left with my kids. As always, I hope you have a wonderful week. x Brook Last week I completely spaced doing a post. I had a book I was wanting to wrap up while going to a writer's workshop at the local library a friend was putting on and now I'm diving into outlines for the first three books I plan on writing when school starts back up as well as making sure I have everything together for the Big Sky Book Event this coming Saturday. I'm pretty excited for this event. It'll be my first one for the year and likely my only for book events only. I'm going to try to get into a few Christmas season craft shows locally though.
With summer wrapping up pretty quickly, I'm trying to do as much fun things with my kids as I can in the few weeks before they start school again. It's going to be so nice not listening to them fight anymore but I will miss them. That's all from me this week. As always, I hope you have a wonderful week! x Brooke |
