My read for you this week is another from R.S. Grey. This is probably my favorite of her rom-coms that I have read even though it took a little bit to get into this, but once I did, I loved it!
I'm almost done with R.S. Grey's rom-coms so next week will likely be something different.
Everyone in Cedar Creek, Texas, knows Jack McNight is an arrogant devil. Physically, I get it: he’s tan and fit, with coal-black hair that’s clearly been scorched by hellfire. Oh, and his personality? It burns just as hot.
When I show up on the doorstep of Blue Stone Ranch, I’m run-down and rockin’ my last pair of underwear. I’m hoping for a savior, but instead, I find him.
My opinion of Jack is marred by a dismal first impression, but his opinion of me is tainted even before I arrive. He’s heard I’m a spoiled princess there to take advantage of his goodwill. To him, I’m more trouble than I’m worth.
Our button-pushing banter should get under my skin. His arrogance should be a major turn-off. Problem is, devils are known to offer their own form of temptation.
Every one of his steely glares sends a shiver down my spine.
Every steamy encounter leaves me reeling.
Sure, it could be the Texas heat messing with my head, but there’s no way I’ll survive the summer without silencing him with a kiss and wrestling him out of those Wranglers.
Who knows…going to bed with the devil might just be the salvation I’ve been looking for all along.
ARROGANT DEVIL is a full-length romantic comedy of 93,000 words. For a limited time, I've also included an excerpt from my #1 bestselling sports romance THE SUMMER GAMES: SETTLING THE SCORE!
It's Monday, once again, like every seven days but this week is different. My kiddos are on spring break. Yes, I'm bracing myself for sibling fights, yelling and all that stuff that comes with it. We are almost halfway through day one and we are doing good. It helps they aren't near each other right now.
And because the quiet, I'm able to get a little writing done. The weather is supposed to be crappy so I'm not sure what to do with my kids this week. I'm sure I'll think of something.
Have a wonderful week.
Make Me Bad … This Weekend's Read
I'm still on my R.S. Grey kick. I think I'm coming close to the end of her current Rom-Coms and I must say, I'm enjoying them! I'm getting ready to start Arrogant Devil, so you never know, it may be next week's read.
I was issued a warning: stay away from Ben Rosenberg.
As Clifton Cove’s resident “king”, he thinks he’s entitled to anyone and anything.
The trouble is, I’ve spent my whole life following the rules and playing it safe. I know what it feels like to be the good girl. I’m the police chief’s daughter and a librarian--for adorable children, no less. My wardrobe consists of colorful sundresses and baggy jeans. I might as well have a Post-it stuck to my forehead that reads: Yup, she’s a virgin.
An all-nighter with a fictional hunk is about as exciting as my life gets, until one day, fate decides to take pity on me and shove me straight into the path of Mr. Off-Limits himself.
Just as I suspected, every inch of him promises to be my demise. Up close, he’s tall, menacing, dangerously handsome—the type of man who’s never spent a single moment worrying about the opinions of others. A well-behaved girl would do as she’s told and avoid him at all costs, but I’m overdue for a little rebellion.
No more Friday nights sprawled out on the couch in my comfiest pajamas. No more wishing I had the courage to misbehave.
Everyone thinks Ben is going to ruin me.
They think he’ll chew me up and spit me out.
Well, Ben…go ahead.
Tempt me. Taunt me.
Make me bad.
MAKE ME BAD is a full-length romantic comedy. For a limited time, I've also included an excerpt from my bestselling romantic comedy A PLACE IN THE SUN!
Surprises are filling this week!
First off, how 'bout that cowboy?
I'm working on a story that has a sexy, silent rancher and I thought I would stare a cowboy for today's man crush Monday.
It's kind of random how I find Mancrushes each week, if there is one you think I should share, feel free to PM me and let me know. I'd love to see what you have.
In other news, if you saw my post yesterday about Roosted being free for the day, the surprises aren't ending with that one. There are three more coming your way this week. I tried to schedule them all back to back but Amazon wouldn't allow me to. So, make sure you stay tuned in to see what books will be coming tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday!
The weather is starting to warm up here so I'm ready to spend some time outside. I'm ready to get this cabin fever dealt with and go for walks again.
That's all for now.
Have a great week.
Weekend Read Belongs to Theo Kane!
Big, strong, sexy as hell, and carries a sense of protectiveness Theo Kane is one man you need to meet!
If you know me, you know I love JEM! Jesse Ward I claim as my first official book boyfriend and that hasn't changed. I've only added men after him and Theo is definitely one of them!
Izzy White knows of the darkness in this world. After all, she escaped it long ago. Determined not to let her past beat her, Izzy has a secure, stable life with a job she loves in nursing. But one act of kindness will completely upend everything she's so carefully built-putting her right back in the crosshairs of danger she's been so desperate to avoid.
When Theo Kane shows up like a knight in shining armor, Izzy can't help thinking she's been saved from one threat and exposed to another. His imposing physique, the harsh lines of his face, and the wariness of everyone who comes close are just a few clues to Theo Kane's notorious reputation. The man is positively terrifying. But with Izzy, he's tender and a complete gentleman, and her fascination with the mysterious beast of a man becomes too powerful for her to walk away.
As Theo's demons come to light, running becomes even more impossible. And yet staying together could doom them both.

Who had a hard time getting out of bed this morning? I'm glad that Daylight Savings is on a Sunday so I'm not rushed to get moving, even though everything was a rush for oldest because he couldn't wait to go so Captain Marvel. Which was amazing by the way. What a movie for girl power. I felt it wasn't her superpowers that empowered her as a woman but her unwillingness to give in or up. If you're looking for a good movie this one is for you.
Anyways, I spent my morning donating books to my oldest's school for book bingo next month and then I went with my youngest and his class to the local college for a dinosaur tour. I took pictures but he didn't look too happy about them even though he was.
In the written world, I am wrapping up my little novella, Love, Mercy this week. I've plotted most of the story but have pantsed some of it. It isn't the typical romance but I'm hoping you'll enjoy it just the same.
That's all for now.
Have a wonderful week.
I'm hooked on rom-coms for the moment. And R.S. Grey has a ton of them! Each story is different and this one intrigues me. The heroine is a little annoying at times and blind by what's in front of her but I'm enjoying it.
Lucas Thatcher has always been my enemy.
It’s been a decade since I’ve seen him, but our years on opposite coasts were less of a lasting peace and more of a temporary cease-fire. Now that we’re both back in our small town, I know Lucas expects the same old war, but I’ve changed since high school—and from the looks of it, so has he.
The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks. He is Lucas Thatcher 2.0, the new and improved version I’ll be competing with in the workplace instead of the schoolyard.
I’m not worried; I’m a doctor now too, board-certified and sexy in a white coat. It almost feels like winning will be too easy—until Lucas unveils a tactic neither of us has ever used before: sexual warfare.
The day he pushes me up against the wall and presses his lips to mine, I can’t help but wonder if he’s filling me with passion or poison. Every fleeting touch is perfect torture. With every stolen kiss, my walls crumble a little more. After all this time, Lucas knows exactly how to strip me of my defenses, but I’m in no hurry to surrender.
Knowing thy enemy has never felt so good.
Mancrush Monday Military edition!
I'm working on a little piece I plan on publishing later this year. I know, I said I was only going to release 3 books this year but something changed.
When I write, I rarely ever have a certain person in my mind to inspire my characters. The man above doesn't really capture my Daxon Logan but he is nice to look out.
In other news, I'm still alive despite the cold. Wyoming has been left in the deep freeze and yet, we don't make national news. We are getting as cold as the Antarctic here! But we are slowly moving out of it which is great because my kids and I are really feeling the cabin fever right now. I'm ready to be outside for more than ten minutes at a time.
I hope whenever you're reading this from you are warm.
Weekend Read: The Promise
I love the Bradfords!
If you are looking for a crazy story that will leave you swooning and laughing at the same time, this series is most definitely for you!
Reed Bradford and Joey Lawson's story
How far would you go to keep a promise?
Reed Bradford never should have made that promise.
He’d barely survived the first time around, but now she was back, his best friend’s little sister, his one-time neighbor, and the woman that he never should have promised to protect. He never should have done a lot of things, like cross that line, but once he did…
There was no turning back.
Joey Lawson always had a plan, but unfortunately, mostly for her, sometimes those plans backfired. On her. This time would be no different. After the unfortunate incident that she felt was better not to think about, she found herself doing the one thing that she’d never survive.
Falling in love with a Bradford.
