Have your kiddos gone back yet? Mine are starting this week and as much as I'm going to miss them, I'm ready for them to have a break from each other and I'm certain they are too.
I'm working away on a novel that's been driving me crazy and reading the "Viscount Who Loved Me". I don't have much to share this week. I have a fun weekend filled with hiking to waterfalls planned for the kiddos, my mom, aunt, and I and maybe a movie night with my sister-in-law and her kiddos. As always, have a wonderful, fun, and safe week. x Brooke

I had plans here people and fire season started way too soon! This is the final week before kiddos go back to school and as ready as I am for them to get back to school, friends, and me peace, I'm also not. For the most part, I enjoy their company and going on adventures with them. Might have to see if we can sneak away from one more hike before school.
I'm well into my newest book. I have no clue how long of a book it'll be since I didn't outline this one, but I'm having fun just going from the seat of my pants. I hope you're all having a wonderful end of August. See you Friday with "What Brooke Read" August edition. x Brooke My husband and my wedding anniversary is this coming Friday. We had plans to go camping with the kids and Timber for the weekend but had to change it up when my dad was invited to sit on a Q & A panel (I wish I could be there to record him) and now I have to dog sit their pack.
So, rather than going this coming weekend, we left at the crack of dawn and headed up for a day of fishing. I didn't catch more than a couple of mosquito bites, but that's okay. We had fun on our hike and playing around. We came down and I got to work baking. My garden is going zucchini crazy so I'm making plenty of bread we'll freeze so we have some for winter. That's about all the fun I have for us this week. I'm back to writing after a weekend off. I hope you have a wonderful week. x Brooke Book Lovers day! What are you reading today? I'm dividing my attention between Bridgerton The Duke and I by Julia Quinn and Colby: Outdoor Alphas by Jaycee Wolfe.
All weekend, I practically had my nose in my kindle reading the Wolf Hotel Series by Nina West. Holy cow! Talk about a series that sucks you in. I'm hard a work today with a story idea I'm not plotting for. I haven't done this since My Cowboy! I have no clue where this one will take me. It's terrifying and thrilling all at once. I can't wait to see where it takes me. That's about all I have to share with you today. Have a wonderful week. Happy reading. x Brooke No matter how much time we've spent on the mountains, my children have yet to see a bear while we fish or hike. The spot this picture was taken was Saturday around lunch time while my youngest and I spent the day fishing with my parents. The next day, a family friend and his daughter saw one just up the bank from here.
My oldest, husband, and brother-in-law spent the weekend at an archery shoot so we took advantage of having some fun of our own. I managed to catch a few fish and had a few more follow my lure, but all-in-all, it was just a great day to be in nature. Today, I'm getting started on an outline for a new series. Not going to say much about it aside from I struggled with what was going to be the first book last year and now I know why; a different story needed to be told. Stay tuned in tomorrow for The Mating Call's cover reveal! Have a great week. x Brooke |
