I wasn't my kids' favorite person on Friday. Maybe it was because I started the day with a tough hike and tried to do the easier one second. Needless to say, we never made it to the second waterfall I was hoping to get to and ended up turning around because the oldest was worn out. The little one is now known as my hiking buddy.
We had back-to-back birthday parties on Saturday and Sunday, but managed to get some more walking in. Yesterday, it was Dad who wasn't their favorite person.
We are back to a regular week day starting with another walk and now I'm getting back into writing for the week. The little one gets to go adventuring with Grandpa this week and on Friday I'm taking them to another waterfall, not the one we didn't make it to. It's an easier one anyone could do on crutches.

I can honestly say I'm not quite sure what I did all weekend. It felt like it went by in a haze and now it's Monday morning and I'm getting back to writing. I only managed to get two things done that I wanted. Saturday, I figured out what I didn't need to buy in the way of school supplies and Sunday, I washed my car.
This week, I plan on working more with Never A Lone, the fifth Powder River Pack book and figuring some more things out with future releases.

This week, I spent time in Audrey Carlan's Biker Beauties world.

Fish aren't liking me in the least this year. I haven't caught a single one. Okay, I take that back, I had a bite on Saturday but my pole got messed up and I lost the fish and it felt like a big one too. Darn it!
But, in other words, and aside from a wonderful sunburn on the back of my neck, I feel ready to finally put some new words down to a brand new story! I haven't written anything new since mid-March and I'm ready to get going on something new which is Powder River Pack book 5. Roper is finally getting his story!
Usually, I spend the summer doing second drafts for the coming year but as I got almost through 2023, I decided that I'm good and can wait a little.
Yes, I'm that far ahead with stories.

Lastly, is a contemporary romance; His Best Mistake by Lucy King. I thought the book would be a little different, but still an interesting read.

We had quite the weekend here! 4 am came and we were up and off across the state to Yellowstone for a long day. We took in so much that I feel it was too fast and want to go back. We didn't see any wolves or bears, but took in all the nature while keeping our distance. We don't do crowds in the first place. We got home and crashed before fireworks which is okay because that isn't our thing either.
Yesterday, we were up at the local fish hatchery with family for fish feeding, a picnic, and disc golf. It was my first time and it was interesting, but not my thing.
Today, I've got kids bouncing around to various places and trying to wrap up the second draft of Powder River Pack 3.
