Last weekend was a blast!!! Wild Deadwood Reads was my very first event and had so much fun meeting readers and actually getting to meet some authors I have become friends with a follow. I cannot wait for next year's. Here are some of the pictures I took, I didn't get many. The warden was volunteered to be a volunteer there and was busy, so he didn't do a whole lot of sitting with me. It made for a long day but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Back home, our pool had a hole in it and we pronounced it dead on Monday. It gave us a couple of fun summers but now I have to reinvent what we will be doing this summer. Thank goodness we have summer movie tickets, that will keep Wednesday afternoons busy. If you didn't know, I am having a giveaway on my reader's group. I got this kindle case signed by many of the authors at Deadwood and all you have to do is join my group, share and like the post, and then comment when you are done. I'm closing it this Sunday. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1817936061754912/

Another year has come and gone and Big B is no longer a third grader. He's grown so much this year both physically, but emotionally and mentally. As this summer drew closer I was trying to find things to keep his summer busy, fun, and educational.
So, we are putting our pool up, we are going to spend more time outside and at the library, and treat everyday as an adventure. I will also be trying to balance out all of that with getting two books written, editing one, and getting another ready. I'm also getting everything ready to leave for Deadwood next week. I'm so excited for this event. It is my first ever, as an author and reader. I look forward to connecting and developing friendships with other authors and readers! x Brooke |
