This week I'm wrapping up another draft that'll be ready for editing for next year's release schedule. Care to guess which series this book is in?
This is also the last full week of school for my kiddos, and I have a full schedule with them to kick start their summer! I just looked and my June is already mostly gone. I don't really have anything else to share this week. As always, I hope you find a great book to devour. x Brooke

3 books left to get done for next year and while I'm trying to focus on going over words I wrote a couple of years ago, I have new ideas wanting to come out. My newest one had my mom looking at me and giving me the "are you okay?" look. Maybe not nearly as twisted as Gunmetal Psychos, but possibly just as close.
This coming Saturday, the local boba shop is having a pop-up and one of the vendors is a new local author. I'm currently reading one of her books and can't wait to meet her in person! I don't have much else to share with you this week. I know, kind of boring. Happy reading this week and have a wonderful one! x Brooke We had a couple of days of sunshine and warmth and now I'm back in a hoodie, bundled up as I get to my writing for the week.
This week is the start of another book. A short one that'll get done by next week where I'll have another short one waiting for me. I'm currently gathering information on putting a book event together in the future in my hometown. So, if you know where I live and live close too, please click HERE to give your input. I don't have much else to share for the week. Mother's Day is this weekend, so make sure you treat that special woman in your life nicely! Maybe with a new book. Have a wonderful one! x Brooke I didn't think I had read much in April, I went down the Crescent City wormhole but apparently, I did.

Today started with a bang of thunder and the flashes of lightning and the rain hasn't stopped. I'm hoping for a wet May to help with the drought here, so we can enjoy a green summer and no fires. This week, I'm wrapping up my second book for 2026 and then getting ready for the next. I'm excited for this line up and so far, love the covers! I don't have much else to share this week. I'll be back sometime this week with my What Brooke Read post. Have a great week! x Brooke I decided for Easter to do a paperback giveaway for a copy of both Briar and Blakely. So, my question is; killer bunny anyone? All you have to do is click HERE to enter.
I don't have much else to share this week. I'm working on my second book for 2026 which is the third Morris Valley book. The first book for next year has its cover and is now off to be beta read. And that's all I have for this week. Have a wonderful one. x Brooke I write this posts just to give a little insight to what my life is like. I'm not a very social person. I'd much rather just write books and publish them rather than doing the whole social media or even social deal.
Anyway! Last week I published book #41! I love this story and I'm so very grateful for all who helped spread the word about Right in Front of You Vol. 2. I always have something hidden in these posts I have yet to have a single person figure out. That's why I asked if anyone actually reads these. This past weekend, I did a craft show and got to hang out with a couple of friends, made a couple new ones, and sold some books. But I've made that aside from actual book events and a single local show here around Christmas time, I'm going to focus more on getting my photography out there and less on the books. Unless I'm doing a craft show elsewhere. I feel like of tapped out with my reach to find readers through there and have really been thinking about it since Saturday night. I've also thought long and hard on a couple of other things. I'm going to be doing some work on my Rogue Enforcer books over the summer, rewrites, edits, new covers, and I am pulling them from being associated with the Rogue Enforcers to better fit what I have coming out next year which the books will tie into. I won't be pulling the books, so you can still read what is out there now. I am also going to do some work on my Destination Romance book. I kind of want to do a few more, but want them under my own banner. This is nothing against the other authors, I just feel like I need to do more for those three stories I love dearly. This week, I'm wrapping up getting my first book of 2026 done and starting the next. I'm getting an earlier start with rewrites for next year's titles because of what I mentioned above. Have a wonderful week! x Brooke The second volume of Right in Front of You is coming this week!
I'm not going to lie, I cried when I wrote this book. There is a part of it very near and dear to me. Volume 2 is a different couple. When I was plotting out this series, I struggled so hard figuring out titles that would go along with each book while linking them. Finally, I settled on Right in Front of You because that's basically what each couple is to each other. Lilly and Gage were a blast to write. This series is inspired by one of my all-time favorite animes. I love to see if you read them and can figure out which one. That's all I have for the week, have a great one! x Brooke Okay, I've fallen quite a bit behind. In my defense, I keep slipping down the writing hole and not paying much attention to anything else.

All caught up now. As always, I hope you find something interesting to read. x Brooke ![]() Last week was spring break for my kiddos. I had it all planned out how I was going to get up early, get my daily workout and walk done and then sit down to write four chapters a day to get the book I'm currently working on complete. That didn't go to plan. Monday, I wrote a chapter and a half, and for the rest of the week, it was only two chapters every day. This week though, I'm finishing up this book and going back to finish another before I start to dive into rewrites a little early this year. We have a busy summer filled with trips, mountain time, and I'm sure other things I won't see coming until they are upon us. I'll be back over the weekend with what I read for the past TWO months since I kind of forgot about February. Have a wonderful week! x Brooke |
