I'm going to do my very best to do better this time around.
Once more, I'm opening up an ARC team. This time, I'm thinking about starting a FB group that will be private and invite only rather than relying on emails which I'm horrible with. (As some might have seen.) So, if you're looking for randomness of fun in different romance worlds, please consider joining. All I'm asking for is a little hype and a review in exchange for sending you a book. As of right now, I'm not doing physical ARCS unless it is to a proven reader. There is only one at the moment, but I'm not saying no to it and would consider anyone (but it has to be within the US). Below is the form to fill out. I will have a follow-up form for those who have finished the books as they come out they have to fill out as well. My next book is set in the My Cowboy world. Ashlynn and Clayton are about to have a reunion; one of them wants to burn the other down and continue pretending they don't exist while the other wants nothing more than to rekindle what they once had in Sing for Me, Cowgirl. Lost and Found is a return to the world I started building in Briar and Blakely. Due to some circumstances, I had to rebrand those two books and turn them into intro novellas into my Whiskey Peak Grizzlies series. Lost and Found is the official beginning to that one. a Call of the Wild is a spin-off of Healing Devotion. I loved Destiny's brothers too much to leave them out. So the series will start with Wilder almost a year after the events of Healing Devotion. After that, Forrest and Calhoun will get their stories, but so will their cousins; Granger and Riata who will be somewhat introduced in a Call of the Wild. Okay, I think I talked enough today. Have a wonderful one! x Brooke

As I'm gearing up for book 49's release next month, I've been wondering, where is it you prefer to get your ARCs?
Net Galley? Book Funnel? Directly from the author sending them to your kindle or other reading device? Somewhere else? I would greatly appreciate in finding out where you have had the best of luck not just readers but other authors as well. I'm honestly horrible at managing my own ARC team. Strange considering how often I publish every year, but it happens. I can barely remember to put a newsletter together. So, please, I would love your feedback. I hope you have a great start to June! x Brooke My oldest graduated from high school this week and is now gearing himself to enter the work force. I've always lived by the thought that college isn't for everyone. It wasn't for my husband and it's proving true for one of my children. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It means I can save up for my other child who has goals that do require college. A doctorate as a matter of fact. While we watched and mainly waited for him to walk across the stage, the majority of the family got sunburned and now we are feeling it. But it's nothing aloe and covering up that won't help it heal. This week, I'm diving into the next second draft for the year which is Right in Front of You Vol. 4 Lexy and Nash's story! I hope you have a wonderful week! x Brooke One of my kids and I got up before the dawn and got up the mountain well before most people and we were rewarded.
83 moose, 20 elk including a newborn calf and another momma stomping at a coyote, 2 coyotes, and countless deer. We worked hard later that morning, but overall had a great day with wildlife. I feel reset and ready to take on anything. Have a great week! x Brooke I got what I wanted for Mother's Day on Saturday which was time on the mountain, pulling off the road to count and photograph animals. We saw around 30 moose including this gorgeous older bull and 8 pairs of sandhill cranes. I tried to get the cranes talking recorded but wasn't fast enough to switch from my camera to my phone.
There were no babies yet and the weather went from sleek to rainy depending on where you were, but it was a great day. I'm ready to get back especially once the elk are up there and just set up shop somewhere to watch them. Have a wonderful week! x Brooke (Yes, the picture is by me. The watermark is to my photography company.) With everything that has been going on for the past few months, I'm taking it all as a sign that I just need to get started with the next drafts of my books coming out for 2027. Next year will start off with a standalone linked to one of my already established series. Funny enough, it has a direct link to the third book I will be releasing next year. Next year will also see the wrap-up of another series. Just like every end of the year, I won't be revealing any of them until December. Which is good because I still need to figure out one of the covers. That's all I have for you this week. Have a great one! x Brooke Ever have a vivid dream that leaves you with so much anxiety in the dream that leads to it still being there when you wake up?
If you have, you know the pain in the ass it can be because that's me today. I dreamed I was getting groceries and my bill kept going up and up and my cart never seemed to empty. Strange dream to give you anxiety but hey, I think we all get it. Last week did not go as planned. As the saying goes, I made plans, but rather than laugh, God decided to dish myself and my family out with a loss. The only writing I truly managed to accomplish was an obituary which is okay. This week, healing begins and I'm already doing good at getting back to work. I've answered emails for a book event I'm helping to host this coming September, paid bills, and now going to work on one last rough draft before summer hits. As always, I hope you have a wonderful week. x Brooke This week kicks off with getting a massive chunk of the final My Cowboy book's rough draft done. Hope has been giving me some issues, but hey, what's new for me lately? My imagination is going off in too many directions and focus has been horrible, but I'm hoping that with this book, I'm about to bring it back around. The weather is wonderful this week so I might even write outside for a few days. Right in Front of You Vol. 3 is out and readers are loving it! If you're looking for a heartfelt and at times funny story, check it out. While it's part of the Morris Valley Gang Series, it can be read as a standalone. That's all I have this week. x Brooke This weekend was a tease. I want to head up the mountain and just center myself more now than if we actually had a harsh cold winter.
This week I'm diving back into writing ... like usual and getting ready for a craft show this coming weekend. I won't be selling books but photography and some fishing lure jewelry. I don't have much else to share this week. Have a great one! x Brooke The newest book to my Morris Valley Gang world is coming out tomorrow! Julia and Gentry were fun, just like most of my books. (Don't get me started on how difficult it's been working on Eliza's book.) ((And yes, I am that far ahead in my writing. I treat it like my day job and am able to write several books a year.))
This story is about healing for some and realization for others. And maybe some laugh-out-loud moments tossed in to make a fun story. I'm currently working hard to try to wrap up existing series I have going. Several are wrapping up in the next couple of years that way I'm freed up to work on things I really want to get to. Dark Cowboys, a thriller, and more are to come once a few series are done. I hope you have a great week! x Brooke |
