I spent the weekend making stencils and then burning bookmarks for a craft show I'll be doing Mother's Day weekend. It was fun but also difficult. I didn't think of the font I used to make the stencils until it came to getting to the burning part. All the holes in the vowels I had to add in myself. It was fun nevertheless.
This week, I'm wrapping up my second to last rough draft for this school year and outlining the last book. Then it'll be next drafts for all my books coming out next year. This school year was productive. I've managed to get all the way to my 2028 books! Next school year, I plan on getting through 2030. I tend to write and then walk away so I can come back with fresh eyes to make the story the best I possibly can. That's all for me right now. I'll be back Friday with What Brooke Read! x Brooke Eventually.
What? That doesn't roll of the tongue in the title so there's the rest of it. This week marks my second week in working on my second to last My Cowboy book. BUT, fear not. There are still two books ahead of this one for your to enjoy in the coming years. And as always with how my mind works, I'm working on this one and have two more to add to the series. But I might set them apart and do their own duet series. That way they stand apart. While you'll be getting Shooter next, I'm working on Braxton and having a blast of it! I don't have much else to share right now. Just waiting for warmer spring days to spend more time outside and dreaming of mountain fishing. Now that it's been out for a little over a week, have you picked up Right in Front of You Vol. 1? If not, what's holding you back!?! It's full of friendship, fun, and steam. I'm really looking forward to diving into each of the couples to come in this series. I had a difficult time coming up with a title mainly because I tried to find something that matched all of them while also being their own. So, I went with what I did. Volume 2 will see one more of the girls returning to Morris Valley and she's going to have to deal with her high school bully. It'll be great! RiFoY is inspired by one of my all-time favorite anime series (also manga, but that gets to be a mouth full) I'm not going to say which one because I want to avoid any repercussions because I really did make it different and my own, but the inspire lingers in some of the characters' personalities. If you figure it out or think you might know, shoot me a message or email and tell me what you think. I can't wait to watch everyone try to figure it out ... if you're an anime/manga fan. Next book coming up this year is Code of Honor 3, Regaining Integrity. Once more, I've returned to Centennial, Montana. And that's all I'm giving away for now. As always, have a wonderful week. x Brooke How is spring going for you? We are finally getting sunny weather only for it to likely vanish at the end of this week. I'm trying not to let it get me down. Instead, I plan on bundling up and going for a walk no matter what. This morning, I got to walk my youngest to school and it felt so good!
I'm wrapping up yet another book this week. I only have two more I'm going to write (rough drafts) for this school year before I begin my second draft season for the FIVE books coming out next year. Did you see that I released brand new series this last week? It took forever to decide on a title since I was trying to think of all the titles for this series (maybe 10 books) and just decided to go with the whole volume deal with the couple's names. You pick it up here As always, have a great one! x Brooke Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we actually got winter this year, but now I've had enough and just want the freedom to go outside, go for a walk, and not freeze my buns off. Normally, it would be okay to just bundle up and head out but for me, my toes and fingers freeze way too quickly thanks to genetics. I've got cabin fever and it's making me bananas. (Tell me you sang that like in the Muppets Treasure Island like I did.)
This week sees me close to the final stretch of rough drafts for the school year. I have three more books to write before I dive into summer re-writes. AND! This week I'm releasing a book! YAY! Right in Front of You Vol. 1, as the title states, is the first book in a series of nine or ten books. Still working on that. Each will follow a different couple from the fictional Wyoming town of Morris Valley. This series is loosely inspired by one of my favorite animes/mangas. I won't say which. That'll be up to you to figure out if you are a anime/manga fan as well. Some of it is light and funny, some steamy, and other moments serious. I think the prologue is one of my favorites I've ever written so far. I hope you have a wonderful week! x Brooke |
