Okay, it feels like I was just here doing this for June. July was busy for our family starting with a wedding and ending with a fishing trip this coming weekend. There was a case of the flu for my kids and I last week and somehow, I've managed to still get nearly three books done for next year!
Two weeks from today I'll be in Billings, Montana getting geared up for the Big Sky Book Event. If you're going, I can't wait to meet you! All right, let's dive into my reads for July. Cruel Lord by Ivy Thorn Goodreads Amazon Rowan by Callie Rhodes Goodreads Amazon Kings of Desire by M.O. Absinthe Goodreads Amazon Son of Saint by Ruby Vincent Goodreads Amazon Finding Home: Destination Romance by Jaime Russell Goodreads Amazon Honey Trap by Tate James Goodreads Amazon Reawaken his Heart by K.L. Myers Goodreads Amazon Barnes and Noble Monsters Under my Bed by M.J. Marstens Goodreads Amazon Jade: Rogue Enforcers by K.D. Michaels Goodreads Amazon The SEAL's Homecoming by Tracie Douglas Goodreads Amazon Hunted by My Stepbrothers by Angel Lawson and A.K. Rose Goodreads Amazon Forget-Me-Not Bombshell by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti Goodreads Amazon That's all I have for you for this month! I hope, as always, you find something interesting. I gave my first monster reverse harem a try this month and found it interesting. There's one more book to the series yet to come out, so I'll finish it but I'm not sure if it's my cup of tea. Have a wonderful weekend. x Brooke

My summer of re-writes are coming to an end in just a couple of weeks which is perfect timing seeing as the Big Sky Book Event will be happening by then. I'll have plenty of time finishing getting ready for that. I'm thinking about making some book-ish decals to sell, any fun ides I should go with?
As you can see from the picture, the next Long Claw Pride book will be coming out at some point next year. I had no clue what I was going to do when I started The Mating Call but I'm glad I made the choice I did with this series. After I wrap this one up, I have some massive work to do with a couple of future books I already have done and need to fix quite a few things. My kids and I fought with the 24-hour flu this past weekend and just now starting to feel some semblance of normal. It's been a while since I've been that sick, so I'm curious how long it'll take me to spring back. This Friday will be What Brooke Read for July. It feels like I just did it for June. Where did the month go?!? As always, have a wonderful one. x Brooke Sorry for not posting last week. It was crazy here and I honestly spaced it.
Last week was rodeo week here and always symbolizes the halfway mark of summer. I don't feel like I've done as much as I usually do. I think we can all guess why ... But this isn't a political post! I plan on spending more time in the mountains in the coming weeks and then there's the Big Sky Book Event in Billings, MT I'm super excited for! I'm working away on my second to last manuscript of re-writes for the summer and I'll have all my 2023 books ready, along with the covers in the coming weeks. I hope wherever you're reading this from, the heat isn't too bad for you. Have a great week. x Brooke I don't know about you, but I'm not doing much of anything today. Why? I was busy almost all weekend with my brother's wedding. It was a blast and it was great to see a lot of faces I haven't seen in a while, but I'm beat. I think I might clean the dog hair out of my car and call it a day, curl up and read Gallows Bridge by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. I've been dying for this book for a long time and now have a day to dedicate to it.
Happy Fourth of July by the way! We aren't much into fireworks unless I can be up close enough to get pictures like the one above I got a long time ago. I hope you're having an amazing weekend and are being smart and safe. Have a great one! x Brooke |
