I can't believe 2021 is over! It feels like yesterday I was in the mountains exploring with my kids and now I'm shoveling for my cardio since it's too cold to take Timber for a walk and doing this write-up. I got hip waders!
Now I have a long wait for summer in order to use them. Maybe I should have asked for them for my birthday instead. Now I have to just look at them and wait. Our Christmas was simple just the way we like it and finished the weekend off with seeing Spider-Man: No Way Home which was amazing! How was your holiday? I have one more week of kiddos being at home which thankfully they have plenty to keep themselves busy in the current -7 below weather outside. I'm getting ready to start a new book. I have sales going on all week so be on the lookout for them! Friday I'll have What Brooke Read for you along with my top reads from every month. See you Friday. x Brooke Looks like we are getting a white Christmas this year. It's been relatively absent for the past few years and I, for one, am really excited especially with family coming. I'm not much of a Christmas cheer person, but I'm not a Grinch either. This year is different, mainly because I get to see some family who didn't get to be with us last year.
I wrapped up the rough draft of my first book for 2025 last week and now doing some work with one coming this year. It's going to be too difficult trying to start something new with my kids home on break. If you are signed up for my newsletter, keep an eye out for them starting Sunday. I have specials going through most of next week and will me emailing them out. I hope you have a happy, memorable, and wonderful holiday. x Brooke How are we 12 days from Christmas?
Are you ready? I am, just need to do one more gift and that requires ink I need to get this week. I'm hoping to have My Rhinestone Cowgirl rough draft wrapped up by the end of this coming weekend. I thought I would struggle with this book, but so far it's like spreading butter over warm toast kind of easy. As the title says, you don't want to miss this giveaway. Have a book buddy you'd love to share some holiday joy with by getting a book? Click the link below and follow the instructions. The giveaway closes Wednesday night. And I'll be shipping them out as soon as I can in the hopes of them arriving before Christmas. Bookmas Giveaway That's all I have for you for now. I hope you have a wonderful week! x Brooke If you can tell by the little blue strip, that's why this is newish. I'm working away on future releases and my current WIP is #7 in the My Cowboy Series. When I finally decided to write about the kids, I wanted to go back and forth between one of the girls and one of the boys. Aspen and Dylan started it out together and then it was Hunter, next up is Tori followed by Shooter, Ashlynn, Braxton, and the last one will be Hope. So, plenty of cowboys to come.
I'm hoping to have this one done and onto my next before Christmas. I have a goal of getting at least 3 to 4 more manuscripts done before the end of May. We'll see how it goes. I hope you are doing well and have had some wonderful reads in your forecast. That's all from me. x Brooke |
