A hike that was supposed be me 2 miles (one way), six children, and only two moms, sounds like fun right?
Aside from the wind, it was. We felt like we were on top of the world once we reached our destination and then we hiked back out. I'm not sore in the least and ready to take on the world today with staring a new story, Bronc Riding Cowgirl!
I also have a full football schedule and can't wait to see my boys play for the first time this season.

My next read is The Trouble with Quarterbacks by R.S. Grey. You know how much I love her books and this one had me busting my gut over and over again.

Another mountain filled weekend that ended too soon. The peace I find up there floods my heart with relief and has always been able to recenter myself after some time away from distraction.
Now, I'm back to the final week with my kids before school kick starts next week. I don't have much to share this week.

Only one this week but it's the trilogy. The Boulder Wolves Series by Olivia Wildenstein is what I have for the week. Each book is about 50 chapters, but it's an intriguing story. Some parts drag on and I'm not done yet, just started the third book. I can't wait to see how it will all come together.

Masks are bought, lanyards ready, and school supplies all packed up. School starts in a little over two weeks from now and it's going to be interesting. This summer has flown by with adventures in the mountains and plenty of fun in the sun, but I'm ready for some quiet around the house during the day. The fighting is getting to the extreme, like it does every year, and other than that, hunting fever is beginning to set in at our house. The oldest gets to hunt this year for the first time and our freezer is starting to look a little bare.
I'm back to work today with working on the fifth Powder River Pack book.

Friday's hike was a super easy one and lead to an adventure with the boys. They played in the rocks and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch by one of the pools. I wanted to keep hiking, but they were content with where we ended.
And then today, grocery shopping ended with me knocking myself in the head with the back hatch of my car and now I'm sporting a quail sized egg on my right temple. Talk about a headache.
I'm working on getting back into the writing swing and that's about all I have to share with you today. I'm also continuing to work on swag stuff for a store, it's slow coming since supplies are limited here where I live.
