We survived another week! =D HURRAY!!! Big B is out of school for the day, parent-teacher conferences, and my living room has been turned into a Lego factory. He is doing well in school, right on target with everything and is gearing up to start PAWs - standardized testing - here in a couple of weeks.
Little E is continuing to be an adventure. We have been working on colors, shapes, letters, and numbers in the afternoons and he is getting better and better with them. I can't believe he will be starting preschool this fall. The warden is picking up a "new" truck tomorrow and no, he didn't ask me before he bought it. *Insert sigh here* I'm ready for next weekend! We are going sledding in the mountains for the day. The only shitty thing about it is I'm being forced to drive a snow machine. Yes, you heard - read that right. I will drive a four-wheeler anywhere but I really - close to hate but not there - dislike driving snow machines. I can't lean with a crap and always dump myself. As for me, I started working on a couple of new book ideas. Both are webbed, through character development, and outlined but I'm only writing one of them for now. The other I want to be perfect and I'm not ready to get those voices in actual words yet. I also did the first round of edits for The Predator Part Two. I'm not going to lie, I'm nervous about the second half. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.

Another week has come and gone and I can't believe how fast it went.
I had a meeting with Big B's teacher, speech teacher, and principal this week. Hopefully this time next year he won't need speech classes anymore!! And I'm continuing the battle of the potty training with Little E. As for myself I worked through two webs for two completely different story lines and have one of them outlined. I will be working on the other today while the warden, Big B, and Timber are off out and about. If you missed some of the things on my Facebook author page I will catch you up here. 1. The Predator Part Two's cover is done! I am slowly releasing parts of it a little at a time and it will be completely revealed March 10th. 2. Continuing with The Predator Part Two news, we have a release date!!! March 28th Chamberlain and K.C. will be coming back to finish their story. It is with my wonderfully amazing editor right now. Here is a link for any bloggers to sign up for release day blitz and ARCs. If you haven't read Part One it will also be included. https://goo.gl/forms/t7Lo2WxiOiQHAPpG3 3. I'm having a Flash Giveaway this weekend only on my Facebook Author Page. https://www.facebook.com/authorbrookemay Five lucky winners will get a full set of keychains with my books. (I'm including The Predator Part Two). That's all I have for this week's update. Make sure you check out my new section "What Brooke Reads" for my next book suggestion. Have a wonderful weekend! x Brooke A note from Axle Ryan
Valentine’s Day Hello motherfuckers and brotherfuckers. What? Don’t like how I address you? Well, too fucking bad. If you don’t like how I talk then turn around now because this is who I am. Aw, Valentine’s day or a day I like to think of as the one all you poor fuckers who decided to settle down, sign your soul over to succubus or incubus, and now have to come up with some sort of gift you usually pull out of your ass to give to the other person in the hopes of getting some. Yeah, I don’t envy any of you. Why settle for a commitment like that when tail isn’t a guarantee on a nightly basis? So you’re thinking I don’t do commitments, right? Oh, I’m in a committed relationship with whiskey but from time to time cheat on that fine bitch with bourbon and vodka. And yes, I know what you’re thinking. I’m an asshole. You are completely correct. I fucked up a few years ago and now the thought of being with any woman for more than a night or so gives me a bad case of the hives. All over my body. My dick itches – not in a good way – just thinking about it. Fuck that shit. But back to the topic at hand. See I have a habit of getting off topic. It’s who I am. Hate me or love me for it I don’t really care. Unless you are looking for a good time. Call me. No, Valentine’s Day, buying the chocolates, jewelry, and making the evening special for your special person – yes, I used air quotes on that last part – isn’t anything I want to waste my time with. The notes that get left around the house, the ads left out on the kitchen worktop, and the annoying, incessant need for flowers and some sort of proof of your love for the other. Do I need to keep going? No, good because I don’t know shit about what else is required for the day where heart shaped – modeled from the perfect woman’s ass – is every-fucking-where. My parents never shared anything on this day; instead they showed each other how much they loved the other every day. That’s how I grew up seeing love; a constant act, not just once a year. So paint me a skeptic. Go ahead, do it. I haven’t found love yet and I’m not completely sure I will. So on this day I usually go out and find a woman who has no one. You know the sheila sitting at the bar all dressed up having a pity party for herself or just down right pissed off at the fucking world for not allowing her to find the man for her who will give her the world. I pick that sheila. I told you I’m an asshole. I get off and so does she. I never let on that it is fate or could be more than a simple fuck. She leaves with me knowing she is going to get my attention for the evening and the next morning she is off living her own life while I do the same. I’ve been called asshole, prick, motherfucking dirt bag, and the list just keeps growing. You may be happy and overjoyed to do something special today for your person and that’s great. Good for you. No, I didn’t just use the tone you use when talking to a dog about being good. Nope, not at all. I’ll be happily going out to the bars tonight finding a woman whose thighs will spread for me tonight and a sweet pussy to fuck until we both have our fill. Remember me, think of me often, and I’ll be seeing you later. I’ll be coming – not the fantastic way – for you in October. © 2016, Brooke May The week is coming to an end. I have another manuscript is almost done and I already have the next few forming in my head. This book was a challenge for me because it required me to get poetic and write a few poems to play as songs in the story. A couple of the ones I used were ones I had written years ago, but the last one was one I just wrote today. Since this is just a rough draft I don't expect it to be perfect now so I may end up reworking it later.
In other news, the warden is taking me to Fifty Shades Darker tomorrow night. I'M SO EXCITED!!! It is our first date night since we went to see Miranda Lambert in concert two years ago. The boys will be having a night out at Grandma and Grandpa's watching American Outlaws, playing board games, and baking cookies. I'm going to love a night away but I will miss them. One last note, My Cowboy turned two on the eighth and to celebrate it is free on Amazon until Sunday. I completely forgot to post yesterday because well, I forgot. LMAO I'm sitting here right now with Little E on my lap, slapping my cheeks, and begging for food. (He isn't hungry, just bored) I'm working away like always and I'm starting to work on a new project! So far I'm up to 66 characters just in this series. I'm really excited to get the ball rolling more with it but that's all I'm going to say about it for now. I have a couple of things I'm going to start up and try keep up on. The first one is going to take place right here on this page. I'm going to have a tab where I will be posting books I read. I'll start from the very beginning, what book really got me started on the path I am now on, and lead you through books I absolutely love. The second is going to take place in my newsletter. Since I release once a month I will be changing up my sneak peek section and will give you a little taste of whatever I am working on at the moment. I will start it in March's newsletter. So make sure you are signed up. I'm pretty excited to share what I have brewing with you. I also have a little announcement. Starting the 8th through the 12th of this month My Cowboy will be FREE! Yep, you heard me right, completely #FREE I will have links posted on my Facebook Author Page starting the 8th, but I won't have it pinned to the top because I will also be taking part in a blog hop on the 10th. x Brooke |
