Starting a new week with the second short story. I can't remember if I've ever written a story as quickly as I did last week and this one as well. I'm not much of a short story writer, I like the follow but I'm truly enjoying this mini series.
I cried last week and this week I'm hoping to get all the feel good vibes from the story. My weekend was filled with football, rearranging my living room, cleaning, writing, and played some Minecraft with my kiddos. With October just around the corner I'm getting all geared up for The Mating Call's release at the end of the month. I'm excited just like every book I've put out and just like when I start a new series, I'm nervously thrilled to share it with you. I was inspired by the mountains of my home and I wanted to try my hand at a different kind of shifter so I picked mountain lions. ARCs will be going out soon so if you're interested please send me a message on here or any of my social media pages. Have a wonderful week. x Brooke

Last week was quite the week. My little guy broke his arm, the first broken bone in a child I've had to deal with. I was exhausted by Friday and was ready for a nice weekend of seeing my nieces and taking my boys to see Shang Chi which was great! I loved a different fighting style and a different feel for a Marvel movie. I highly recommend it. My little guy is doing great, honestly you wouldn't know if it wasn't for the cast consuming his entire arm. For the next couple of weeks I plan on getting two short stories written before I dive into my next big project. I hope you have a wonderful week. x Brooke I've spent a year fighting with a story. Wrote three different drafts and none of them felt right until the fourth and final one! I'll be finishing up this story this week and I'll have the majority of my 2023 releases complete with their rough drafts.
I hope September is going well with you. Aside from this book, I've got a 5k race coming up this weekend. I'm doing it virtually so I can do it in places I'm comfortable and familiar with. Now, here's hoping my hip and knee will be okay. That's all I have to share. As always, have a great week. x Brooke A long weekend doesn't feel like it was that long. We ventured into the mountains on Saturday and hiked to a waterfall with my mom and then fished, but when nothing was biting, I changed to taking pictures like the one above. Yesterday was just a day for writing and hanging out with my kids and today is mounting to be similar. My husband was up hunting all weekend and is now home telling me all about his weekend.
I hope you're have a great start to the school year if you have kiddos and a good September. x Brooke |
