Three books for you this week!
It was almost four, but I don't have that one finished yet so it will be up for next week. I started the week with Smolder by Tracy Solheim. Like most authors lately, she is new to me and hey, what can I say, I'm drawn to books set in Montana and Wyoming. Just like the titles implies, this book will make you smolder page after page and leave you satisfied at the end. Blurb: Former Army Ranger, Sam Gaskill, is starting over in Glacier Creek, Montana - far away from the plains of Texas and the memories of his late wife. Taking charge as the new captain of a squad of smoke jumpers should provide him with enough adrenaline to chase away the ghosts from his past. Until a sexy, green-eyed temptress with a sassy mouth enters the picture… Laurel Keenan, champion horsewoman, couldn’t wait to escape her hometown. But instead, an ailing mother and an unplanned pregnancy landed the impetuous dreamer right back on her father’s ranch. Laurel has managed to lead a quiet life with her young son—until she sets eyes on the tough guy with the sexy ass. Sam already failed one woman; he won’t trust his heart with another. And Laurel is determined not to risk her heart—or her son’s—on another thrill-seeker. Can their slow burn lead to a love that lasts? Goodreads Amazon Barnes and Noble Next, I read The Baby Maker by Lili Valente. Another new-to-me author and boy was it enjoyable! Entertaining plot with relatable characters and tons of off the charts chemistry. From beginning to end, The Baby Maker was an enjoyable read. Blurb: Some men are troublemakers or dealmakers. The men in my family? We're baby makers. For six generations, the women of wine country have had a saying: don’t bang a Hunter man unless you want a bun in your oven. Yeah, well. I’ve got a saying too: no thanks. The last thing I need is baby makes three. My business is expanding and the only thing I’m interested in getting knocked up is my bottom line. But then one night Emma Haverford makes me an offer I can’t refuse—she backs away from the land I have my eye on in exchange for a favor… A big, fat, baby making favor… ****** When I hear women have gotten pregnant shaking hands with Hunter men, I know I need Dylan Hunter’s…ahem, special skills…way more than I need to expand my vineyard. I’m ready to give my heart to a child and I’m tired of waiting for my late-to-the-party Prince Charming to make my dreams come true. So I promise Dylan—three months of hot, heavy, baby-making s-e-x and then I’m out of his hair forever. But what if when it comes time to say good-bye, all I want to do is keep bottling up more memories with this big-hearted man? Goodreads Amazon Barnes and Noble And the third book for the week is Eye of the Beholder by Nana Malone. Intense desire and a story to sink your teeth into and get lost in. A non-stop read until you are able to figure out the mystery laced within the words. Entertaining and enjoyable read. Blurb: Go to Vegas… Accidentally marry a good girl… Logan Cross has nearly destroyed his career with his bad boy antics, and marrying his best friend’s little sister, Jezebel, has to be the stupidest thing he’s ever done. Now he needs a quickie divorce so that he can get back to cutting ties with his father’s record label. But when he discovers that the only way to get free of Dad is to be married, Logan is forced to hold on to that curvy wife. How far will he go for money? Go to Vegas… Accidentally marry a Rockstar… When plus sized model, Jezebel Donovan goes to Vegas for a job, the last thing she expects is to wake up married to the one man she loathes. Now she needs a quickie divorce and all will be right with her world. But when a family crisis leaves her niece in an orphanage, Jezebel is forced to hold on to that rock star husband.
