Dr. Strange beard by Penny Reid.
It's my only read for the week. I've been busy wrapping up the second draft of She's No Cowgirl and outlining Wild Selection, Powder River Pack #6, as well as another book that will launch a new series. So, there hasn't been much time to read. I'm on a Winston Brother kick at the moment and now I have to wait two months for the next one, but it will be worth it because it is all about Billy! I can't wait to read his story. Dr. Strange Beard is Roscoe Winston's book. He is the youngest sibling and it takes place five years after the last book, see my post from last week. There was one point in this book that I was crying only to have a few lines change it all and I was laughing my bum off! I truly enjoy all of these books and I can't wait to dive into more Penny Reid, especially now that her Knitting in the City series is on Kindle Unlimited! Blurb: Hunches, horse races, and heartbreak Ten years after Simone Payton broke his heart, all Roscoe Winston wants is a doughnut. He’d also like to forget her entirely, but that’s never going to happen. Roscoe remembers everything—every look, every word, every single unrequited second—and the last thing he needs is another memory of Simone. Unfortunately, after one chance encounter, Simone keeps popping up everywhere he happens to be . . . Ten years after Roscoe Winston dropped out of her life, all Simone Payton wants is to exploit him. She’d also like some answers from her former best friend about why he ghosted her, but if she never gets those answers, that’s a-okay. Simone let go of the past a long time ago. Seriously, she has. She totally, totally has. She is definitely not still thinking about Roscoe. Nope. She’s more than happy to forget he exists. But first, she needs just one teeny-tiny favor . . . Dr. Strange Beard is a full-length romantic comedy novel, can be read as a stand-alone, and is the fifth book in the USA TODAY bestselling Winston Brothers series Goodreads Amazon Barnes and Noble Next week, I will be back to posting on Mondays as well. The past couple of weeks have been odd ones for me. I hope you have a great weekend. x Brooke
