Memorial Day

The weekend went off better than the husband and I were hoping. We began Saturday morning ripping carpets out and guess what? There are only a couple of spots that need to be fixed up along with a part that was clearly an addition.
I wrapped up work on my final book for next year but I'm going back to work on the second one starting today. And guess what? It's the next Code of Honor book. Fitting considering the day.
I hope each of you take a moment out of your holiday to remember all those who have gone above and beyond to sacrifice for us throughout history. I recently discovered Revolutionary War and Civil War veterans on both sides of my family which was already steeped in veteran history. 
Remember the fallen, the ones who came back home to us but have been forever changed, and thank them for everything they gave up.
