You can definitely feel the chill in the air, see the frost on the ground as well as it blending with your breath puffing out visibly in front of you. Yes, I'm feeling poetic this morning.
I'm working on a new shifter series that ties into my two Rogue Enforcer books. It's set during this time of year so I'm embracing all of it even if I still can't go up the mountain. Speaking of mountain, the Elk Fire is currently 48% contained (thanks rain and snow last week). That's me just checking to see. It's difficult since the weather is perfect up there to get some last-minute fishing in before snow flies and sticks. I'm wrapping up October by getting ready for craft shows next month. That's all I have to share. Have a great week and hope you read an amazing book! x Brooke I'm almost there! After two years and a really long past three months, I'm almost done with this beast of a book!
Usually, all of my books for the upcoming year are completely figured out and ready to almost go by the end of summer. Not this year. A gut feeling told me this book needed to come before the original one I was planning on releasing. So, for the past three months, I've been working on trying to finish it up after two years of slowly working on it. It's almost at 120,000 words so be prepared for my longest book yet! I'm really excited for this one. It's a little unhinged and I hope it doesn't make you look at me too differently. If you're interested in getting ARC copies of all my releases from me, please fill THIS out. I hope you have a great week! x Brooke I seriously have no clue where the time has vanished off to. One moment it's the beginning of September and now we are in October where a wildfire has consumed a good portion of the mountains I call my home and I'm almost to the 100,000 word mark for the book I've been working on.
Life has been crazy, hectic and not all entirely in a good way. As I've stated, there is a massive wildfire taking hold of the mountains and it's breaking my heart. I pray every day that the firefighters remain safe and are able to get it under control in some rugged terrain. I don't have much else to share right now. As always, I hope you have a great week! x Brooke |
