While I'm doing my best to remain focused on working on Savage Attraction (Powder River Pack #6) I find myself distracted by the fact I'll be up hunting this coming weekend. It feels like I just found out I drew and now I'm packing to go. You'd think with two animals already harvested the excitement would have died down but that's the opposite. Elk hunting, here I come!
I want to thank everyone for their help with The Mating Truth's release this past Thursday. It means so much to me and I'm looking forward to seeing what reviews say in the next two weeks.

I love that my husband gave up hunting this year to help me focus on my own. While I'm all for him getting his own tags, this year has worked out differently in our family. A Costa Rican trip is really what caused my husband not to put in, but he's just as happy to help focus on me getting my tags filled as he would if he had his. While I still have less than a month to start looking for my elk, it doesn't stop us from scouting and spending "date nights" in the mountains calling and just photographing them this month. 
Along with getting pictures of a raghorn bull and a few cows and calves, I'm getting loads of inspiration. While my imagination takes me off in any which direction, I've discovered over the past few years my stories are coming closer to home and finding ways to weave romances together with a Wyoming or Montana setting.
This week, I'm focusing on the second to last Powder River Pack book which is actually the final one to be written because I decided someone needed a redemption story. If you're a fan of the series, maybe you can guess who I'm referring to.
Also, The Mating Truth releases in TEN DAYS!! It's Afton's turn, what will he uncover when his mating call strikes?

The husband and I had a date night on top of the mountain. While neither of us have an archery tag, we aren't wasting our September. Our hike ended in finding some elk in the quickly fading light. A few cows, a calf, and a small raghorn bull. While they didn't do any talking, it was still great getting to sit there to watch and admire them. I wouldn't give up on this for the world.
This week has me figuring a few things out as well as outlining my second to last werewolf book, though, it will be the last one written because it came to me as an afterthought.

Hunting is a way of life for my family. We hunt to feed ourselves as well as to challenge ourselves. September, if some aren't archery hunting, we spend time at the range to get ready for rifle season, which is my season. Today, my youngest and I were out there with my dad making sure everything is all set for my opening day. My kiddo had a blast!
September will see another release from me, The Mating Truth. I only have two more books after this one for the series.
In writing news, I FINALLY got Wilder done and now it's ready for beta readers. I'm much happy with the story I fixed. I'm busying myself with planning an event for next year, doing senior pictures, and all the fall things I love.
