The saga of the Long Claw Pride series will continue this time next month! Afton's book will take him away from home, but truths linked to Leonard and what he wants to do with Long Claw will be found the same time he finds his mate. Click HERE to pre-order. It will also be on Kindle Unlimited.
My kiddos start school this week and while they both seem ready; one to get it over with and the other because he missed friends, I'm going to miss having them around. Especially my younger one. He's my partner in crime, my favorite driving buddy, fishing partner, and all-around weirdo with me. I don't have much else to add this week. I'll be back later in the week with What Brooke Read for the month. Have a great week! x Brooke This weekend saw us at the football field half the day for scrimmages. For only have 3 practices under their belts, they did all right. This week will see the husband and boy at three practices in order to get them ready for games that start next week. I had plans on working on something while I waited but never got the chance. This week, I'm continuing to work on Wilder and hopefully almost be done with it. I'm also getting my next release ready for the end of next month. That's all I have to share this week. Have a wonderful one! x Brooke Since getting back from Alaska, I haven't had much luck getting fish. They bite on my line and taunt my emotions with that spike of fishing high that I might have them only for nothing to come up with my lures. This weekend they really messed with me. But I'm not about to give up. I took the opportunity to take some pictures instead. I love this perspective. It's probably my favorite way to take pictures.
In book news, the Cody Romance Round-Up was this past Saturday and I had a lot of fun! I got to hang out with other romance authors all day and connect with readers. It was a good day. I won't be doing anymore book events this year, just a craft show in December where I will also be selling my photography, possible something new, and my brother's handmade knives. The Mating Truth is all done and ready for publishing, so if you're ready for the next part of the ongoing storyline I have in my Long Claw Pride series, it's coming soon! I will have ARC news soon. This week, I'm hoping to get a good chunk of Wilder's book done. Now that I know what I'm doing, hopefully words will flow easier. I hope you have a wonderful week filled with great books! x Brooke One weekend on the mountain is never enough. In my ideal world, I would be living up there no matter the time of year and just be around nature all the time. I would fish in the early mornings and watch elk in the evenings.
But until that happens, because I can dream and manifest all I want, weekends are what I get. This past weekend, the husband, one of our kids, and I took a drive to see the results to the Elk Fire from last year. The image above is taken over by an area called Freeze Out and I saw rocks I had never seen through the trees before unless you walked to find them. I'd like to say I'm getting used to seeing it all, but I don't think I will. In 2007, another part of our mountain was on fire and almost 20 years later, it isn't growing many trees to replace what was destroyed. The mountain myself and so many others love is still there just looks different now. I'm going to be busy this week. Edits just came in for my next book, I'm still trying to fix another book to make it more me, and I have a lot of packing and planning to get ready for the Cody Romance Round-Up this coming weekend. If you're around or near the area and want to find some new reads, definitely come over to the Chamberlian in Cody, WY from 1 to 5 pm to check all the incredible authors out. I hope you have a great week! x Brooke Holy moly! Where did July go? Serious? I know I say this a lot, but this July flew by so fast that I'm still catching up to get the whiplash of it. Maybe it was because of my trip, but it felt like I barely got to know July 2025.
I honestly didn't think I read that much especially since I was gone and thanks Still Beating because I was a sobbing mess on the plane, landing in Juneau. Here are the books I read for July: Dangerous Allure by Ashlynn Goodreads Amazon Unhinged by Steph Macca Goodreads Amazon Hunt Me Darling by Maree Rose Goodreads Amazon The Butcher by Penelope Sky Goodreads Amazon Phantasma by Kaylie Smith Goodreads Amazon Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann <--- MASSIVE TEARJERKER but completely worth it! Goodreads Amazon Of Light and Freedom by Rachel Fallon Goodreads Amazon Stranger Ranger by Daisy Prescott Goodreads Amazon Mated to the Wolves by Ophelia Black Goodreads Amazon Hidden in Brutal Devotion by B.J. Alpha Goodreads Amazon The Romanov Oracle by Molly Tullis Goodreads Amazon And that's all I have! As always, I hope you find something in this list that sucks you into its world. Happy Reading! x Brooke |
