How is it the last day of June?
It's crazy!! I have a lot going on in July, so I'm excited for it but also have so many other things I want to do. At least I know I'll still get my reading in. Three more days until my next Code of Honor book comes out. Healing Devotion is set at an Alaskan hunting lodge/healing retreat. Stick with me, it works with one another. I only have one more book left in this series after this one. Here is everything I read in June: Come Home Cowboy by Rebecca Barber Goodreads Amazon All Hallows Night by Leigh Kelsy Goodreads Amazon Archer by Dr. Rebecca Sharp Goodreads Amazon The Rose Hill series by Elsie Silver Goodreads Amazon Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws Goodreads Amazon Gild by Raven Kennedy Goodreads Amazon The Naked Fisherman by Jewel E. Ann Goodreads Amazon Echo Fort by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti Goodreads Amazon Of Ash and Iron by Eliza Raine Goodreads Amazon Unhinged by Steph Macca Goodreads Amazon A Curse Carved in Bone by Danielle L. Jensen Goodreads Amazon Barnes and Noble Barons of Decay by Angel Lawson Goodreads Amazon And there you have it! All the books I've read for June. Aside from A Curse Carved in Bone, every single one of them are available on Kindle Unlimited.

One more book to go before I can get back to the headache inducing one. In the meantime, I'm getting a lot of inspiration for it and how I can inject some soul into the story. While that book won't have many elk in it, there will be a few moose and some other animals. I spent a couple of days with this bull moose. He wasn't far away, and we let him be, so he decided to hang around. While I know full well how aggressive moose can be and strongly encourage you to always be aware of your surroundings, I never once walked anywhere without being fully aware of where he was. I'm hoping I get to keep track of him as the summer carries on to see how much his paddles grow.
Next week I have a new release coming! If you are interested in reading and reviewing an ARC, please reach out. They are only going to be available for a short period of time. As always, I hope you have a great week! x Brooke Saturday morning is exactly how I want to spend my life waking up to. Elk out in the field and while in my pjs being able to creep up on them to take pictures. And then ending the same day, stalking the same elk with the rest of their herd by belly crawling to get as close as I can. Until extremely alert mommas start barking and staring me down for minutes at a time, causing me to freeze up. Being barked at was so worth it.
Elk, moose, catching some fish, trying to locate a black bear my brother saw while I was fishing, and savage games of wagon wheel was a great way to spend the weekend and to help fuel how I was going to figure out the book I was having issue with last week. Almost 40,000 words in that book, I thought it was complete until the second draft made me realize it lacks SO much. So, I'm starting it over after I finish a different book. That's all I have for you this week! Have a great one! x Brooke I seriously can't figure this book out. I know something is missing but can't figure out where. This is why I always do rewrites and write so far in advance because it gives me a chance to go through what will be coming out the next year.
Wilder, you're giving me a headache. I don't have a whole lot to share with you today. As always, I hope you have a wonderful week! x Brooke My kiddos are out and likely already going to get on my last nerve.
Thank goodness I have books to vanish into to make sure they are ready for next year's release dates. Healing Devotion is ready to be in the hands of ARC readers, so if you interested, please reach out to let me know. I don't have much else to share this week. Have a great first week of June! x Brooke Sorry this is a couple of days late. It was the final day of school on Friday for my kiddos and I was exhausted along with a massive headache.
Without any further delay, here is what I read throughout the month of May.
